HERE IS AN OUTLINE OF OUR ADVENTURE
A welcome and farm overview along with a presentation about how pumpkins grow and a look at some of our most unique pumpkins and gourds.

Scavenger Hunt – Each child will receive a card with fun things to find around the farm. At the end of the tour, they can turn them in for a fall goody bag.

Tractor train rides. We suggest approximately ½ hour of ride time (depending on group size) to start with and then on to other parts of the tour. If there is still time we can ride some more!

Pig Pen tour. We’ll take a walk past the corn fields and pumpkin patch to our “play pen” where our piglets are raised. We’ll do some Q & A and everyone will be able to feed the pigs a treat.

Last, it’s time to find a pumpkin! Depending on your groups age and size you have two options to choose from:
-
We all go to the pumpkin patch and children select and harvest their own pumpkins. We’ll guide them to choose pumpkins that are up to approximately 10lbs. Please note that adult supervision will be needed as the pumpkins are still on the vines and may need to be cut off.
-
We wander through the pumpkin patch and look at all the varieties, but do not harvest. We will pre-pick a selection of pumpkins and have them set out in a grassy area for the children to choose from.
